About YUVA Law Firm

A Chennai practice built around matrimonial and family law, with the criminal, civil and property work that so often runs alongside it.

Quick answer

We are a Chennai law practice. The core of our work is divorce and family law, with criminal, civil, property and corporate practice supporting it.

A senior lawyer takes the first conversation. It is free, and it lasts fifteen minutes.

How we work

The first conversation is with a senior lawyer, and its purpose is to tell you where you stand: including when the answer is that you do not need us, or that the case you want to bring is weak.

We quote fees stage by stage, before the stage begins, so you are never asked to approve work retrospectively. Our fees page explains how that works in practice.

We will recommend mediation or settlement wherever it is genuinely the better route. In matrimonial matters it very often is: faster, cheaper, and considerably less damaging to everyone involved, particularly children.

What we do, and what we do not

Our practice areas are set out across this site, and each has its own page rather than a line in a list. Where a matter falls outside what we do well, we will say so and, where we can, point you to someone who does.

Divorce and family law. The core of the practice.Criminal defence. Bail, quashing, financial and cyber offences, trial work.Civil and property. Injunctions, recovery, title verification and disputes.Corporate and IP. Registrations, contracts, insolvency and employment compliance.

What the rules let us say

Advocates in India are prohibited by the Bar Council of India Rules from advertising or soliciting work. That is why you will not find success rates, case-win claims, client names or testimonials attributed to identifiable people on this site.

What we can do is explain the law and the procedure accurately, and let the quality of that explanation stand for the quality of the advice. Everything on this site is information, not legal advice, and reading it does not create a lawyer–client relationship.

FAQs

About us: practical questions

Is the first consultation free?+

Yes, fifteen minutes with a senior lawyer, confidential, with no obligation to instruct us afterwards.

Do you act for clients outside India?+

Yes. A significant part of the practice is for clients in Singapore, the Gulf, the UK and the US, with consultations by video or phone.

Why are there no client testimonials with names?+

Bar Council of India rules restrict advertising and solicitation by advocates, and client confidentiality applies regardless. We would rather comply than compete on claims.

Do you offer services in Tamil?+

Yes. Consultations and court work are handled in Tamil or English, whichever you prefer.
