How to make the free 15 minutes count

What should I have ready?+

Four dates and two facts, roughly: when you married, when problems started, when you separated, and any court dates already fixed, plus whether you have children, and whether anything has already been filed by either side. Your marriage certificate and any court papers help, but don't delay the call to hunt for documents.

Is the consultation really confidential?+

Yes. Everything you tell us is protected as a privileged communication, whether or not you go on to engage us. We don't discuss enquiries with family members, and we won't call your home number unless you tell us it's safe to. If you need us to contact you only at certain hours or only on WhatsApp, say so and we'll follow it.

Will I speak to an actual lawyer?+

Yes: a senior advocate, not a call-centre agent reading a script. If we're in court when you call, the office will fix a slot rather than take your details and disappear. You can also ask to speak with a woman advocate, and we'll arrange it.

Can we talk in Tamil?+

Of course: English or தமிழ், whichever you think in. Documents and updates can be explained in Tamil too. There's a Tamil version of this site as well.

I'm abroad: how do we schedule?+

Tell us your city and preferred window in the callback form and we'll fix a slot in your evening. We regularly hold consultations for clients in the US, UK, UAE, Singapore and Australia. See our NRI divorce page for how those cases are run with minimal travel.
